Engage your heart, head, and hands to celebrate the life you share with your beloved animal companion through ADULT COLORING.
Join the AHELP Project community with guest Andrea Koehler from The Coloring Project to create a frameable adult coloring project to honor your special animal friend's life journey.
AHELP Director and Certified Grief Recovery Specialist Michelle DeHaven Nichols, M.S. will present, “Oh, Good Grief.” Education is power! From over 15 years of serving families in grief and bereavement, her experience has been that a better understanding of this process can help people who have animal family members who aging, in illness or who have passed onward.
At “Color your HeART,” each participant will choose a frameable coloring card that resonates with them, and may optionally add a poem or prose to accompany. They will spend intentional time during this guided remembrance of the positive contribution they each made to the other’s lives. Guests may choose to either to meditate/reflect, celebrate a life, or as a way to quiet their mind if they’re feeling stuck in a downward spiral of grief.
Tea, coffee, light sweets, and snacks will be offered in keeping with the AHELP vision to build a like-minded community and for opportunities for guests to meet and share with understanding animal lovers. As with all our events, polite pooches, comfy cats, and cozy critters are invited.
Please get an advanced purchase ticket at $16, keeping in mind that proceeds go toward the cost of producing this event and AHELP's nonprofit mission to serve people and their pets. Tickets at the door will be $20.
