I love volunteering for AHELP Project Animal Caregiver Support Program AHELPer because it allows me to work with the families and to be a more well-rounded and effective small animal massage therapist. My background and training has always been focused on the animals, but the people attached are just as important. I like the people in AHELP and what they stand for: allowing families to make end-of-life care decisions based on knowledge, love and peace, allowing for the dignified transition that our pets deserve. I was inspired to join AHELP because this is EXACTLY the type of support I would have loved to have had during the decline of several pets in my life.
